Johansson is a director, executive producer, and writer working across film and commercial storytelling.

He has worked with leading brands including Chevrolet, Subaru, Sennheiser, Yamaha, Ralph Lauren, Regal, IWC Schaffhausen, Omega, and Jacksons Food Stores, along with many others, bringing a disciplined approach to both story and execution.

His work is shaped by years of leading creative teams, building video departments within agency environments, and directing campaigns for respected regional and national organizations. At Drake Cooper, he founded and led the agency’s award winning video department, directing work for Idaho Central Credit Union, Idaho Travel, St. Luke's Health System, Oakley, Columbia Sportswear, J.A. and Kathryn Albertsons Family Foundation, St. Alphonsus Health System, and others.

Across his career, Johansson and his teams have produced more than 350 commercial campaigns, earning seven Gold ADDY Awards and Best of Show at the Effie Awards. His work reflects a balance of strong visual craft and strategic clarity, shaped by both brand and narrative discipline. He later directed a feature film released theatrically nationwide, earning Best Cinematography and Best Film Score at the European Film Awards, further refining a storytelling approach that carries through all of his work.

In addition to directing and producing, Johansson has served as a creative director, shaping brand voice and visual identity across global campaigns. He has built and led teams from the ground up, mentoring producers, designers, and directors, many of whom have gone on to lead work of their own.

His work is grounded in clarity, restraint, and purpose. The aim is not recognition but faithfulness, to create stories that endure, carry meaning, and point beyond themselves.
